The great book “Polish Your Furniture With Panty Hose” suggests these useful alternate ways to use coffee filters:
- We’ve all broken a cork when opening a wine bottle, am I right? All you have to do is filter the wine by pouring it through a coffee filter.
- Protect your China by placing a coffee filter between each dish.
- Cover bowls or dishes when cooking in the microwave.
- Protect your cast-iron skillets by placing a filter in the skillet to absorb moisture and help prevent rust.
- Hold Tacos! An interesting one! Coffee filter make excellent wrappers for messy foods.
- Prevent a popsicle from dripping by poking a couple of holes in a filter, inserting the popsicle through it to catch the drips!
