Alternate Uses For Nail Polish
Posted by Janice Russell onSeptember22,2009
The great book "Polish Your Furniture With Panty Hose" suggests these useful alternative ways to use clear nail polish: (other than polishing your nails)
- Stop a run in nylons: Dab the snag immediately with clear polish.
- Prevent the bottom of shaving cream cans from getting rusty: Paint the bottom rim of the can with clear polish.
- Prevent cut fabric from fraying: Apply a thin coat of clear polish along seam edges to help prevent unraveling.
- Laminate prescription labels! Keep then legible by painting them with clear polish.
- Repair a small dent in a window, car windshield, or wood floor! Fill hole with a few drops of clear polish let dry, then repeat until full.
- Tighten loose dresser-drawer knobs! Dip the end of the knob in clear polish, replace the knob, and let dry for snug fit.
- Prevent rust on toilet seat screws: Just paint the knobs with clear polish.
- Keep belt buckles shiny: Paint buckle, let dry, and repeat four times.
