A Purse on Your Shoulder

Posted by Jennifer Wig onAugust12,2010

I looked around the busy restaurant.

Nearly every single woman had a purse. Most carried largefull purse bags on their shoulders, holding who-knows-what. Some had small clutches.

I go out at night with my driver’s license, my debit card, my cell phone and maybe some lipstick if I’m slightly dressy. This all fits in my pockets. If I’m wearing a dress, my boyfriend carries my ID and debit card.

Networking My Way Into A Mess

A Stack of Books, Even Online

I love to read. I’m not sure what it is about the written word, but as a kid, I devoured book after book.

There is a perpetual stack of books by my bedside. Some I will read when I’ve finished the one I’m working on. Others, I might later move back to the bookshelf.

It’s not just there, either. I try to read as much online content as I can about my careers as a writer, Web site manager, social media manager and professional organizer.
