We need your assistance to help organize an orphanage in Haiti

Minding Your Matters® is looking for tax-deductible product and monetary donations to maximize our impact when we go to Haiti. This information will be updated as money and supplies are received or as we find out additional information from the orphanage.

Money Needs

While Minding Your Matters® is covering the airfare we need an additional $2068 to cover the following:

• Application Processing Fee: $50.00 per person
• Travel Day Meals: $25 per day per person (two travel days)
• Hotel-Dominican Republic: $75 per day for two days
• Transportation Costs: $100 per person
• Lodging at Hope for Haiti mission house: $350 per person for 10 day trip

Border Fees:

• Entry fee at airport in Dominican Republic: $10 per person
• Exit fee from Dominican Republic to go into Haiti: $25 per person
• Entry fee at Haitian border: $1
• Exit fee from Haiti to go into Dominica Republic: $10
• Entry fee into Dominican Republic upon leaving Haiti: $10

You can donate via credit card on the Danita's Children website. To ensure that it is applied to our trip, please use the "Please use my gift" drop-down menu to indicate "Missionary Support" and type "Minding Your Matters" as the Misssionary. Or you can send a check made out to Danita's Children with "Minding Your Matters" in the memo line and mail to Minding Your Matters, Attn: Haiti Trip, P.O. Box 794, Morrisville, NC 27560. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes. 

Product Needs

• AA batteries
• D batteries
• Labelmaker tape for Brother P-touch labelers: 1/2 inch clear with black ink
• Labelmaker tape for Brother P-touch labelers: 1/2 inch white with black ink
• 3 "Stick up lights" for wooden closets
• Ziploc bags - especially 1 gallon bags
• Zip ties
• Straws (for the kids when they get sick)
• Pumice to clean toilets (they stain quickly)
• Physicians Desk Reference
• Shelf steps (large and small, some for food, some for dishes)
• Silver permanent markers
• Big rubber bands
