Janice Russell, Founder/Overseer of Order
Janice Russell, CPO-CD, COC, founded Minding Your Matters® Organizing in 2002. Janice’s unparalleled organizational skills were developed and honed through 13 years of experience in the corporate world and the educational arena. Not only is Janice organized – thanks to her experience as a public school teacher, she has the ability to teach others how to better organize themselves. Janice earned a degree in psychology from Duke University, enabling her to implement organizing methods that match the needs and personality of each individual client. Since founding Minding Your Matters®, Janice and her team have helped over 250 business and residential clients overcome a variety of organizing challenges.
Janice is a leader in the organizing field and the Triangle business community. She is a founding member and past president of the North Carolina chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) in addition to being a Golden Circle Member and past education chair for NAPO. In 2009, she was nominated for the prestigious NAPO Founder's Award. Janice is the Past Certification Program Director of the Institute for Challenging Disorganziation (ICD) and holds the distinction of being the first professional organizer in North Carolina to become a Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization, a certification she has held since 2005. In 2007, she received her credential as a Master Trainer in Chronic Disorganization and Organization. Janice also holds the Chronic Disorganization Specialist Certificate and the Attention Deficit Disorder Specialist Certificate and has obtained all ten of the Certificates of Study offered by ICD. She is a Certified Organizer Coach as credentialled by the Institute for Applied Coaching. She also holds a Masters in Education from Vanderbilt University. Locally, Janice is a member of the North Carolina Chapter of the NAPO, Chix in Business and the Business Leaders’ Club.
Janice Russell is an increasingly sought-after speaker. She has presented organizing seminars in a variety of venues, including SAS Institute, GlaxoSmithKline, the United Way and the Community Outreach program at Meredith College. Janice has spoken at organizing industry conferences including NAPO's 2007 and 2008 Annual Conferences and NSGCD's 2007 Fall Conference. In addition, she has presented several international teleclasses to NSGCD subscribers: “Organizing for Personality Type”, “Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder versus Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder”, and "Your Client's Personal Alphabet". Janice is the author of the book Get Organized This Year! and the audios Stop Letting Stuff Overwhelm You, Tackle the "No Time" Trap and Hone in on Home Organization.
Kc Coolbaugh, Senior Professional Organizing Consultant/Senior Order Maker
Kc Coolbaugh joined Minding Your Matters® in May of 2005. Kc's professional experience includes helping a wide range of clients establish order from chaos – specifically in the context of preserving / archiving photographs and other memorabilia into custom designed albums. She also has experience managing human resource and financial tasks in a corporate environment and implementing training programs in a variety of settings.
Kc is a Golden Circle member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), a member of the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD), and past Vice President of the North Carolina Chapter of NAPO. She holds all certificates of study from the ICD including Basic ADD Issues with the CD Client, Basic Hoarding Issues, and Learning Styles and Modalities. Kc is a CD Specialist and an ADD Specialist. In 2008, she became the fourth professional organizer in North Carolina to obtain her Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization (CPO-CD®) credential. Kc is also involved with Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), the National Association of Mental Illness, North Carolina (NAMI-NC) and serves as the Team Leader for the NAMI Walk for Hope.
Jennifer Wig, Professional Organizing Consultant/Order Maker, Writing Support, Marketing Support
Jennifer Wig joined Minding Your Matters in 2010. She has spent nine years working for news media organizations, including newspapers and most recently at NBC17 TV news, where she produced both broadcast and web news. In her years with news, Jennifer learned a wide range of skills from writing, editing, project and time management and meeting deadlines. Her most recent job duties included coordinating multiple reporters, video editors, anchors and others to compile the daily 6 p.m. news.
Jennifer is a 2003 graduate of Southern Illinois University, where she earned a B.S. in Print Journalism. She is also a 2004 graduate of the University of Illinois, where she earned an M.A. in Public Affairs Reporting. She is a member of the the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD). Jennifer has earned her Level I Certificates of Study in Chronic Disorganization and Attention Deficity Hyperactivity Disorganizer and her Level II Chronic Disorganization Specialist Certificate from the ICD.
Susan Wisniewski, Bookkeeper / Administrator
Susan Wisniewski is an administrative professional with more than 16 years of experience. Her background in accounting, network administration and human resources management enables our organizing professionals to focus on their top priority: helping clients overcome the challenges that stand between them and effectiveness.
