Janice Russell, Founder/Overseer of Order
Janice Russell founded Minding Your Matters® Organizing in 2002. Janice’s unparalleled organizational skills were developed and honed through 13 years of experience in the corporate world and the educational arena. Not only is Janice organized – thanks to her experience as a public school teacher, she has the ability to teach others how to better organize themselves. Janice earned a degree in psychology from Duke University, enabling her to implement organizing methods that match the needs and personality of each individual client. Since founding Minding Your Matters®, Janice and her team have helped over 175 business and residential clients overcome a variety of organizing challenges.
Janice is a leader in the organizing field and the Triangle business community. She is a founding member and past president of the North Carolina chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) in addition to being a Golden Circle Member and past education chair for NAPO. She is the Certification Program Director of the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD) and holds the distinction of being the first professional organizer in North Carolina to become a Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization, a certification she has held since 2005. Janice also holds the Chronic Disorganization Specialist Certificate and the Attention Deficit Disorder Specialist Certificate and has obtained all nine of the Certificates of Study offered by NSGCD. She also holds a Masters in Education from Vanderbilt University. Locally, Janice is a member of the North Carolina Chapter of the NAPO, Chix in Business and the Business Leaders’ Club.
Janice Russell is an increasingly sought-after speaker. She has presented organizing seminars in a variety of venues, including SAS Institute, GlaxoSmithKline, the United Way and the Community Outreach program at Meredith College. Janice has spoken at organizing industry conferences including NAPO's 2007 Annual Conference and Organizing Exposition and NSGCD's 2007 Fall Conference. In addition, shehas presented several international teleclasses to NSGCD members: one entitled “Organizing for Personality Type” and the other entitled “Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder versus Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder.” Janice is the author of Get Organized This Year!
Kc Coolbaugh, Professional Organizing Consultant/Order Maker
Kc Coolbaugh joined Minding Your Matters® in May of 2005. Kc's professional experience includes helping a wide range of clients establish order from chaos – specifically in the context of preserving / archiving photographs and other memorabilia into custom designed albums. She also has experience managing human resource and financial tasks in a corporate environment and implementing training programs in a variety of settings. Kc is a Golden Circle member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), Vice President of the North Carolina Chapter of NAPO and the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD). She holds several certificates of study from the NSGCD including Basic ADD Issues with the CD Client, Basic Hoarding Issues, and Learning Styles and Modalities. Kc is a CD Specialist and an ADD Specialist. Kc is also involved with Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), the National Association of Mental Illness, North Carolina (NAMI-NC) and serves as the Team Leader for the NAMI Walk for Hope.
Katie Page, Professional Organizing Consultant/Order Maker
Katie Page joined Minding Your Matters® in February of 2007. Prior to joining our team, Katie spent two years as an independent marketing consultant and personal assistant. During this time, she worked with a wide range of clients to help them achieve their organizational and marketing goals. Katie previously served as a Senior Administrative Assistant at GlaxoSmithKline. In this capacity she supported an IT group comprised of more than 50 people, coordinated all details of internal and external upper management meetings, and helped coordinate the process of moving more than 300 employees to a new location. In addition to her professional activities, Katie also works to make our community and world a better place. In December of 2006, she raised funds to purchase Christmas presents for ten children at a battered women’s shelter. In October of that same year, she spent two weeks as a volunteer at the Hope for Haiti Children’s Center in Haiti. In July of 2006, she spent a week in Houma, LA as a volunteer in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Katie is a 2001 graduate of Meredith College, where she earned a B.A. in Speech Communication. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), Community Relations Director of the North Carolina Chapter of NAPO and member of the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD).
