Every morning after breakfast, my cat has a shower routine. She licks her right paw and swipes it over the right-side of her face and ear several times; then she does the same with her left paw. This is followed by licking her belly and her sides. I have read that cats lick after meals not only for cleanliness but from their days in the wild, this was a way to get rid of the scent of the food they just ate so that other predators didn't smell the meals and come after them!

This got me thinking about routines humans should have so that the clutter predators don't come after us! Here are a few examples:
- Put clothes away (hamper, closet drawer) after wearing or cleaning to avoid huge piles of clothing overwhelming our space.
- Have decent-sized trash cans in all spaces to encourage the disposal of trash to avoid "smells".
- Process the papers in your home and office so that you don't suffer from "surface abuse" of all flat surfaces.
- Put away new supplies in your office or home rather than placing them on the floor where the pile will grow in direct proportion to how long it stays there.
What new routine can you implement today to discourage the clutter predators from invading your space?
