Stuck in an Unorganized Universe?

Posted by Janice Russell onJuly27,2009

Ever think: "I am overwhelmed by all of my stuff but I can't get organized because of X, Y, Z?" We all have reasons...excuses as to why we don't accomplish a task that we want to see completed. Whether it is organizing or something else, we often can't get beyond the thinking stage and into the action stage. I recently ran across these words from Gary Ryan Blair: Life will not go according to plan if you do not have a plan. Some of you are groaning right now. Words like plan and goals send you running in the other direction. I understand. I react the same way at times. Sometimes the to-do list seems overwhelming or we get confused between a task and a project or we just plain don't know how to get started.

There is no one right way to plan. Some people like lists; others prefer graphical representations. Some enjoy writing on paper; others go the electronic route. I say this as a preface to one alternative to planning that may appeal to some readers. It is a computer program called GoalEnforcer. According to their website it is a "user friendly purely visual goal setting, planning and managing tool that will help you

  • Set your goals
  • Organize your goal plan
  • Break down big goals into smaller sub-goals
  • Track your progress
  • Achieve!"

While no computer program is perfect, many people like this easy-to-use program. There is a free trial if you are interested. Even if you prefer planning on paper, a visit to the website might give you some ideas to change up your planning method.

So to get unstuck from your unorganized universe, get started planning!
